First Look At Marvel's 'Black Panther' Is Intense

Share

Marvel have released a teaser trailer for Black Panther, and it looks nothing if not intense.

Starring Chadwick Boseman (who first played the character in Captain America: Civil War), Michael B. Jordan (Creed), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Martin Freeman (Sherlock), Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out), Angela Bassett (American Horror Story), Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis, the movie will see Black Panther – aka T’Challa – protect his country (the fictional Wakanda) from enemies both at home and abroad.

It looks to be tackling some hefty themes – both colonialism and the idea of a monarchy in an advanced society – and the trailer isn’t short of action scenes, which should please Marvel fans.

Take a look:

Wow, right?

Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station) is directing from a script that he and Joe Robert Cole (American Crime Story) wrote.

It’s gone down a storm online:

Marvel seems to be going from strength to strength, and we could not be more enthusiastic about it…
