'Celebs Go Dating' Is Looking For Contestants - Here's How To Apply

With the likes of First Dates, Take Me Out and Love Island sky-rocketing in the ratings, it’s fair to say that reality dating shows are taking over our televisions.

They’ve become far more popular than the once-great Big Brother, and are even starting to creep up to I’m A Celeb like levels of success.

This – for one thing – means that they’re attracting a (marginally) higher calibre of contestant. While Celebrity Big Brother can barely get Z-list celebs to sign up, Celebs Go Dating (basically Celebrity First Dates) is getting some slightly more reputable (at the very least D-list) names.

They’ve so far had Outnumbered actor Tyger Drew-Honey and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter.

They’ve had X-Factor finalist Frankie Cocozza, Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ very own Jonathan Cheban, and – naturally – almost the entire casts of TOWIE, Made in Chelsea and Geordie Shore.

Granted, it’s not exactly George Clooney or Emma Stone, but you’ve got at least got a chance of recognising some of them… That’s more than we can say for CBB these days…

Anyway, it was recently announced that the Channel 4 show Celebs Go Dating would be getting a fourth series, and they’re currently looking for ordinary people to date the “celebs”.

If you’ve been inspired by the likes of Love Island, and fancy getting yourself into a celebrity power couple (aka. money-making machine), this might just be your big chance…

While the celebrity contestants haven’t yet been revealed, it’s been rumoured that X-Factor’s Amelia Lily has signed up, and producers are also apparently debating Katie Price.

If your application is successful, however, be warned that there’s strings attached.

It’s three months of filming, and you’re not allowed so much to speak to your celebrity paramour, unless the cameras are rolling.

As Eden Blackman (the show’s relationship expert) told Metro:

“It’s those little moments when the cameras are off that one of them will deliver an amazing line, so it’s a little bit different from your average date…”

If you reckon you’re up for it, you can apply to be on Celebs Go Dating by emailing dating@limepictures.com.
